Research Tax Credit

France has a very favorable environment to incite companies to conduct R&D operations and increase their innovation capacity.

Government support for innovation, research and development in the private sector is chiefly provided by France’s research tax credit. This is calculated at 30% of annual research expenditure on R&D operations carried out in France (up to €100 million, and 5% above this threshold). Since 2013, this research tax credit has been extended to encompass innovation spending by SMEs of up to €400,000.
